£20 million boost to business

Find out about the Government’s new £20 million grant.

What is it?

The Government has announced a £20 million scheme to help smaller businesses access new technologies and professional advice to help them get back on track after the Coronavirus.

The grants will range between £1,000 and £5,000 each and will be fully funded by the Government, with no obligation for you to pay.

Any money given through the grant must be used in direct response to the Coronavirus.

The funding has been allocated to Growth Hubs in each Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).

Each LEP has a minimum of £250,000 to give away, and there is over £1 million in funding for Lancashire.

Growth Hubs work all over the country with local and national, and private and public partners, including banks, Chambers of Commerce, FSB, etc.

What can I use it for?

The activities covered by the grant include:

  • One-to-many events providing guidance to Coronavirus
  • To help businesses buy equipment to adapt or adopt new technology in order to continue business activity or diversify
  • To help businesses access specialist professional advice, such as HR, accountants, and IT and digital services, as well as many more!

The grant must be applied for before 28th February 2021, and the money must be spent before the 31st March 2021.
